The chrome look is the look of 2016. I want to get it done SO badly, but I can't stomach the thought of forking over $85 dollars for my nails. Oh, who am I kidding. I don't mind, I just don't have $85 (#teacherssalary).
Recently, I came across Sally Hansen Miracle Gel ($10) in Stilettos & Studs and Buffalo Nickel. While not exactly the chrome manicure I desire, it is the closest I have come to without breaking the bank. Both colors are a shade of chromatic silver. Stilettos & Studs is a deeper shade, while Buffalo Nickel is lighter and a tad bit shinier.
What is even better about Sally Hansen Miracle Gel is that it is a no light gel manicure. In only two easy steps, you have up to 14 days of color and shine. Choose your color (even if its not the chrome substitute) and apply. Then seal the deal with the specific top coat. When you are tired of it or it eventually chips it will remove easily with regular nail polish remover. Chances of you getting bored before it chips is much higher.
