Have your cake and moisturize too

Over the past three months, our skin has been through the wringer. Our hands are looking tired and cracked. I know that I have searched high and low for great products that soothe my skin and have been loving products from Cake Beauty. The bottles even say they have a cult following, so I get why. They are a Canadian based company and all their products are 100% vegan and natural. The packaging for all the products are sleek and are generously filled, so you will get your money's worth.

I have been using in heavy rotation Deserted Island hand lotion ($6). Transporting us to the islands we cannot exactly travel to, the lotion is infused with rich mango butter and raw coconut fruit. It does not leave a greasy residue and the fragrance is the perfect subtlety. If no fragrance is your icing, their Milk Made Hand Cream ($6) is the better option for smooth hands thanks to oat milk concentrate and marshmallow root extract.

I love them so much that I have been rotating between both their body mousse and body cream. The Desserted Island Body Mousse ($9) is a lightweight moisturizer that is perfect for the upcoming, hot sticky summer months. It has the same great ingredients as the hand cream. If you need a richer experience the Milk Made Body Cream ($8) is the best bet. It is slowly whipped with the same extracts as the hand cream for a rich yet light effect of the cream.

No cake is complete without heavy cream, so for elbows and cracked heels that just need a little bit more TLC, the Heavy Cream Soothing Body Butter ($9) is your answer. There is 20% pure shea butter to help repair tired, cracked skin. Like everything else from Cake, the butter absorbs into the skin quickly and has a light fragrance.

So instead of going down the baking aisle next time you are out, take a trip down the toiletries aisle as well to pick up some sweets.
