Fragrance of the Month: February

Valentine's Day has come and gone. I could have written a post about what fragrance to buy your sweetie. But remember, this is "The Teacher's Beauty Guide," so the teaching thing got in the way (#sarcasm) with a busy time at school. However, fret no more, your monthly installment of Fragrance of the Month.

Tory Burch's Love Relentlessly ($115) is a spicy blend that is perfect for the winter months. While I may have missed the official cutoff, this fragrance was inspired to capture the feeling of falling in love. Fall in love with its blend of pink pepper and patchouli and amber. Rose adds the romantic feminine touch. Fruit notes of pink grapefruit, lemon, pear, raspberry and lychee sweeten up the scent. The fragrance is in an elegant jewel shaped bottle that will look great on any vanity.

The Art of Shaving now has a line of colognes to finish off the experience. Sandalwood & Cypress Cologne ($100) is a clean mature fragrance. It may be the perfect fragrance to subtly replace that one of your guys that is just a tad reminiscent of high school. Yes, I am talking to you man pushing 30 on the subway that smells like a "pool." Obviously Sandalwood and Cypress are the main notes, but Bergamot, Chamomile, Cardamon, Cedarwood and Sandalwood create the classic undertones. It evokes scenes of the barber shop where one might go to get their beard trimmed.
